Electrician; Air-Conditioning Specialist (Operation and Resource Department)
Limkokwing University of Creative Technology – Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Electrician; Air-Conditioning Specialist within the Operation and Resource Department.
The successful candidate will support the safe and efficient operation of the University’s facilities by maintaining electrical and air-conditioning systems in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
Diagnose faults in electrical systems, equipment, and components using appropriate testing equipment and hand tools.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and maintenance requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable codes.
Maintain a valid electrician’s licence or identification card as required by government regulations.
Plan layouts and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to job specifications and local codes.
Install, service, and repair air-conditioning and HVAC systems.
Provide operational support to other areas of the department during staff absences or shortages.
Demonstrate flexibility by undertaking duties outside the primary area of expertise when required.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have:
A Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or an equivalent qualification in a related field.
An HVAC Certificate.
A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant working experience.
