Job Purpose:

To support the development and implementation of Human Capital strategies and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Capital Management

Coordinate recruitment and selection processes.
Administer employee contracts, remuneration, and benefits.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR information systems.
Monitor attendance, leave administration, and HR transactions.
Ensure compliance with labour legislation and HR procedures.
Prepare HR reports and workforce statistics.
Support workforce planning and succession planning.
Coordinate employee engagement, wellness, and recognition programmes.
Assist in the review and implementation of HR policies and guidelines.

Performance Management

Coordinate implementation of the performance management system.
Monitor appraisals and support the appraisal process.
Track performance improvement plans and support managers.

Learning and Development

Coordinate training needs assessments.
Develop training schedules and maintain records.
Organise training programmes.
Monitor training budgets and evaluate effectiveness.

Employee Relations

Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
Support disciplinary, grievance, and conflict resolution.
Coordinate investigations into employee relations matters.
Promote positive employee relations and culture.

Compensation and Benefits

Administer employee benefits programmes.
Verify payroll inputs and assist payroll changes.
Assist payroll surveys and benefits reviews.

Administration

Oversee office administration and support services.
Coordinate procurement of office supplies and equipment.
Supervise records management and document control.
Monitor office facilities, equipment, and maintenance.
Coordinate travel, accommodation, and logistics.
Ensure effective management of office assets and inventories.
Monitor contracts for administrative service providers.

Compliance

Ensure compliance with employment legislation and policies.
Maintain statutory HR records and documentation.
Support internal and external audits.
Identify HR and administrative risks and recommend measures.

Supervision

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
Allocate work and monitor staff performance.
Support the Managing Director in achieving departmental objectives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Timely recruitment and onboarding.
Accuracy and completeness of employee records.
Compliance with labour legislation and policies.
Timely completion of performance management cycles.
Effective utilisation of employee benefits.
Training implementation against annual plans.
Accuracy of payroll inputs.
Efficient administration of office operations.
Timely submission of HR reports.
Compliance audit outcomes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Human Capital Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Industrial Psychology or a related field.
At least 5–7 years of progressive experience in human resources and administration.
Experience in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, training and office administration.
Supervisory experience will be an added advantage.
